Weems Living Well Education Programs

Weems sponsors educational seminars for the public, often in conjunction with the Continuing Education deartment at Meridian Community College. Information on seminars is posted on this Web site. If you have suggestions for topics, please contact the Public Relations Director at (601) 483-4821.

Mental Health and Alcohol Screenings

Weems participates in the annual National Alcohol Screening Day in April and National Mental Health Screening Day in October. These confidential screenings are open to the public at no charge. The same screenings are available year-round on this Web site.

Critical Incident Team

Unfortunate events sometimes occur that can traumatize many people at once. Weems has a specially trained team that is available to provide on-site counseling services following a critical incident (i.e., a traumatic event.)

Speakers Bureau

Weems staff are able to deliver presentations for civic and community clubs, schools and other groups on a wide range of mental-health-related topics. Please contact the Public Relations Director at (601) 483-4821 for more information on having a Weems speaker for your group.

Community Organizations

Weems supports many mental-health and health-related organzations such as NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Meridian Affiliate and the Alzheimer's Association.  Weems staff members are active on many community boards and participate in professional associations.
