Adult Services
The mental health therapists at Weems are capable of addressing a wide range of adult issues on a one-on-one, family, marital or group basis. We provide counseling for very treatable issues such as:
- Stress, depression, anxiety or other serious emotional problems
- Grief
- Family/marital problems
- Bipolar disorder and schizophrenia
- Alcohol and other drug use
Our services include outpatient mental health therapy, medication evaluation and monitoring, nursing services, community support services, and substance abuse treatment.
All therapists at Weems are licensed by the Department of Mental Health or a professional association. Many of our providers are in-network for private health insurance programs, including Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, Advanced Health Systems for State of Mississippi employees, TRICARE, United Behavioral Health and others. Please indicate your insurance carrier when you schedule your appointment.
Geriatric Services
Weems is sensitive to the needs of our local elderly community, and we have staff that is able to address the special needs of the elderly. Our services include individual therapy, nursing home placement and elderly day treatment, which is a structured, ongoing program available in Lauderdale, Kemper and Smith counties.
Adult Clubhouse
Weems offers an adult clubhouse program that provides counseling and also assists seriously mentally ill adults in finding appropriate jobs.
